Welcome to the Joys of the Season Blog Hop! Christmas is my
favorite time of year. During the month of December, music is always playing in my
house and in my car. I’m a musician, so I’m always involved in Christmas
concerts. Holiday music always puts me in a great mood!
My family also gives me great joy. My husband and I have a
total of five children, twelve grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. We
feel very fortunate that they all live relatively close by and that we can see
them for the holidays. Sometimes the little ones even come and spend the night! We love spoiling them with their favorite treats and cartoons. Here are our two youngest grandkids, all ready for bed.
And here's a picture of me with one of my great-granddaughters, last Christmas. She and her sister also live nearby, but since she has so many grandmas and great-grandmas, I don't get to spoil them as much.
I also love to sew and craft, so I’ve always got a project going. Starting in November, most of my projects are gifts for people who are dear to me. It also gives me great joy to connect with my family and friends by making and sending cards, even if I see those people every day! So since this hop is all about Joy, I’m giving away four handmade Christmas cards to a random commenter. To win, leave a comment telling me about one thing that gives you joy at Christmas time. I’ll choose and announce a random winner on Sunday morning, December 18.

Great post. I have an old mixed tape that I downloaded to my iPhone and I play that in my home. I listen to Christmas music in my car tool
ReplyDeleteLovely cards too.
there is a radio station in my town that plays holiday music all season. it's always on in my truck :)
ReplyDeleteYou are SO lucky to have so much family! I only have a starter grandchild--but she's perfect so it's okay. Joy comes with seeing your children happy and hearing those beautiful carols. M. S.
ReplyDeleteHi Patricia, One thing that brings me joy at Christmas is making or crafting something. This year I did a gingerbread house with my husband! It was fun but much harder then they look when I'm watching the British Baking Champion. Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteJust getting together with family for the Holidays brings me great joy. Both kids and their families will be here at our new house this year--can't wait!
